Our Union County, North Carolina real estate guide features the premier model homes of Union County and the entire Charlotte metro area. Our exclusive Buyer?s Agents are ready to help you locate the new homes for sale in Union County that best meet your needs and desires. Using a Buyer?s Agent assures that you, the Union County home buyer, is represented from start to finish.

Union County got its name because it was created from parts of Anson and Mecklenburg Counties. Located in the Piedmont Region of the Carolinas, Union County is two hours east of the Appalachian Mountains and a little over three hours west of the Atlantic Ocean. New York City is about 630 miles to the northeast and Atlanta is about 250 miles to the southwest.

People often relocate to the Union County for its slower-paced lifestyle, lower taxes, good schools, and its proximity to south Charlotte. Some of the larger cities in the county include Indian Trail, Lake Park, Marvin, Stallings, Waxhaw, Weddington, and Wesley Chapel. The county seat is Monroe, and much of the region is suburban; many Union County residents live here for the relative safety and quiet but commute to jobs in Charlotte.

Charlotte is the largest city in the area and the largest city in North Carolina as a whole. It is at the center of one of the fastest growing metropolitan regions in the United States, with an average influx of 20,000 newcomers each year over the past decade. Sometimes called the "Queen City", Charlotte is a diverse community that combines splendid amenities with warm Southern hospitality. This is a modern, world-class city; beautiful tree-lined streets, stunning lakes, parks, and nature preserves are offset with exciting nightlife, fun attractions, and excellent dining and shopping. Residents who enjoy sports have the NFL?s Carolina Panthers, NBA?s Charlotte Bobcats, Charlotte Checkers Ice Hockey, and Charlotte Knights Triple AAA Baseball.

Booming with economic activity, Charlotte has all the advantages of being one of the most rapidly-growing metropolitan areas in the nation. Charlotte is first and foremost a banking city; nine of the nation's top 200 banks operate in Charlotte. With more than $1.1 trillion in assets, it is the second-largest financial center in the entire country (behind only New York City). Whether you are seeking an urban lifestyle, suburban, lakefront, or rural living, there are many choices available in Union County and the Charlotte metro area.

The entire Charlotte region has one of the nation's healthiest real estate markets. The current price of homes here is below the national average ? the median is about $240,000 ? which suggests the possibility of strong price growth (especially given the trend of relocation from other parts of the country). There are a huge variety of communities and subdivisions to choose from, as well as a healthy inventory of used homes. While The National Association of REALTORS? reports the possibility of a housing market bust in many parts of the country, the steady growth of the Charlotte region means there is very little danger of that happening here.
